Sherbert Sundae
Sherbert Sundae 54″ x 62″

I love the adventure of beginning a new quilt. I start with an original idea. The center of this piece uses fabric squares I received in a teaching packet donated by one of the fabric manufacturers.  Inspired by the Modern Quilts I have seen, I slashed and pieced the black strips into the squares.  The center pieced section sat for a few years, then I chose the gray border fabric and appliquéd other sample fabrics randomly throughout the border.

Quilt given to my daughter for her 29th birthday.

Techniques: Quilt machine pieced in 2014, machine quilted and completed June, 2018
